Rescues

We mainly rescue pigeons (including doves and wood pigeons) and occasionally other animals such as sparrows, chickens, or ducks.

Recent rescues:

In January, we rescued 21 new pigeons. 10 of them got to us in a critical condition and unfortunately died soon after. The rest are still with us.

Found on the street as a chick in Málaga, she was rescued by a young man. When she grew up and the guy tried to release her, she kept following him back home. Since he couldn’t take care of her, when Kony visited his family in Málaga, she brought her back with her.

Upon arrival, she fell in love with me. She considers me her partner and lays eggs on me. I have to take turns with her caring for them.

She was born without eyes and was lucky enough to be found and picked up in Palma shortly after falling from the nest.

Since she is blind, we have to feed her by giving her formula through a feeding tube several times a day.

She had paramyxovirus and was left with neurological aftereffects. She often loses control of her neck and can't fly or defend herself, so we need to continue caring for her.
